Mesmerized, the dragon decided to settle in the valley that surrounds Son Moc Huong Cave. Locals believe that the mountains encircling the valley represent the dragon’s presence. Interestingly, these mountains change color throughout the day, appearing white in the morning, blue at noon, pink in the afternoon, and purple at sunset. The only way to truly witness this spectacular transformation is to visit yourself and behold the mesmerizing play of light and colors.
A Dragon’s Tribute
When the dragon passed away, it bestowed seven dragon’s gems upon the land as a token of gratitude. These gems are said to be located in the valley, with the mouth of the dragon aligning with the entrance of Son Moc Huong Cave, facing the precious gems themselves. 
Nature’s Masterpiece
Inside the cave, an awe-inspiring panorama of stalactites and stalagmites awaits. These formations create a splendid display of rainbows, with some stalactites reaching an impressive length of nearly 20 meters, resembling the roots of a banyan tree touching the ground. The stalactites and stalagmites take on various shapes, including “Money Tree,” fairies, elephants, lions, tigers, lizards, eagles, and even floating clouds. Despite their natural origins, these formations appear as if they were meticulously carved by skilled craftsmen. The cave’s ceiling reaches a towering height of 30 meters in certain areas, and numerous small ponds can be found within its depths.
