From Hanoi, you can either book a private car through local service providers or purchase tickets for a coach or shuttle bus to Nam Dinh. The round trip from Hanoi to Nam Dinh costs approximately $95 – $100 for a maximum of four passengers. Alternatively, taking a coach or shuttle bus is more economical, with fares ranging from $4 to $9.

If you prefer flexibility during your trip, you can also rent a motorbike and ride to the park on your own. By using your own vehicle, you can bypass the walking distance and reach the park directly. Following Expressway 01 from Hanoi, it takes about three hours to reach Nam Dinh. From there, follow Route 21A to Xuan Thuy National Park. The rental price for motorbikes varies depending on your preferences, such as the number of days and type of vehicle.

Traveling by train is another great option, allowing you to enjoy the rural scenery along the way. Numerous trains operate daily between Hanoi and Nam Dinh, with fares ranging from $4 to $7. Once you reach the city station, you can travel an additional 50km to the national park by taxi or motorbike taxi.
