History
Originally constructed on 19 May 1975, Thu Le Park opened its gates to the public two years later. Known affectionately as Thu Le Zoo, this park has captured the hearts of locals, especially children. Offering a delightful blend of green spaces, a zoo, and an amusement park, Thu Le Park has become a favorite among visitors and photographers alike.

Spanning an impressive 29 hectares, Thu Le Zoo boasts an array of captivating sights. Among these, 40 species are listed in the Vietnam Red Book, and many animals have been gifted from Europe, Africa, America, and Australia. For the best experience, plan your visit to Thu Le Zoo during the summer months, particularly in the afternoon as the sun begins to set. Animals tend to emerge more frequently during this time, making it ideal for observation. Additionally, the afternoon sun offers a respite from the intense heat. However, it’s worth mentioning that, like any zoo, Thu Le Park has its distinct aroma.
How to Get There?
Located at the end of Kim Ma Road, adjacent to the renowned Hanoi Daewoo Hotel, Thu Le Park is easily accessible. You can enter the park through either of its gates, one on Kim Ma Street and the other on Buoi Road. Traveling by taxi or motorbike is the most convenient option, but you can also reach the park by taking Bus No. 9.
