Best time to go
The best time to visit Sun World Halong Complex is from May to September when the weather is most favorable for outdoor activities. During this period, you can enjoy all the games and attractions without being affected by the weather. However, please note that on Saturdays and Sundays in May, June, and July, entrance tickets for Dragon Park, Typhoon Park, and the combo will have an additional charge of 50,000 VND. This is because it is the peak season, with a surge in domestic travelers during the summer school holiday.
It is important to note that during the winter season from October to April, the Typhoon Water Park is closed for maintenance, and visitors cannot enjoy water activities during this time.
How to get there
Getting to Sun World Halong Complex from Hanoi has become more convenient with daily buses running from My Dinh Bus Station to Bai Chay Bus Station and Halong City on the new Hanoi – Halong highway. From My Dinh Bus Station, you can take buses to Mong Cai, Cua Ong, Bai Chay, Cam Pha, or Halong. The ticket prices range from 80,000 VND to 120,000 VND, depending on the type of vehicle. Once you arrive, you can easily catch a taxi, motorbike taxi, or bus (No.03 Hon Gai – Hoanh Bo) to Sun World Halong Complex. No prior reservation is required.
For a more hassle-free transfer, you can choose the limousine transfer service provided by Kumho Viet Thanh and Ka Long Limousine VIP transfer companies. The total journey time is around 2 – 2.5 hours.

Dragon Park
Dragon Park is a prominent theme park within Sun World Halong Complex, offering over 20 extreme games such as Dragon’s Run, Rhino Sling, and Monster Spin. While some games have height restrictions, there are plenty of options for children, including Tea Cups, Tour De Paris, and Circus Train. Don’t miss the roller coaster, which boasts the longest railway in the world and reaches speeds of up to 105km/h.
Typhoon Water Park
Typhoon Water Park is suitable for visitors of all ages, with 12 unique water games divided into three zones for families, teenagers, and children. Experience thrilling slides such as Thunder Falls, Tsunami Spillway, Sun Pool, and Magical Cove.
Queen Cable Car & Mystic Mountain
Take a ride on the Queen Cable Car, the longest and first cable car with a 2-story cabin in the world. It connects Ocean Station and Sun Station, providing breathtaking views of Halong Bay. Promotion programs
From now until December 31, 2019, entrance tickets for Dragon Park purchased between 17:00 and 19:00 will be reduced to only 100,000 VND per person. Additionally, tickets for Queen Cable Car and Dragon Park will be priced at 175,000 VND per person for Quang Ninh locals.
