Trip Summary
Day 1: Hanoi City Tour > Night Train to Lao Cai
Our journey begins with a morning pickup at Hanoi Airport, followed by a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. Explore the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university, and marvel at its ancient architecture. Take a delightful cyclo tour around Hanoi’s charming Old Quarter, where history and culture intertwine. Visit the bustling Dong Xuan market and experience a captivating water puppet performance. After a short rest and shower at our hotel, enjoy dinner at your own leisure. Later, we’ll transfer to the train station for an overnight journey to Lao Cai.

Day 2: Lao Cai > Cao Son Market > Sapa
Arriving in Lao Cai in the morning, we’ll savor a delightful breakfast before heading to Cao Son Market, a vibrant and bustling hub where ethnic minorities, including the Flower H’mong and Black Dao, gather to trade local products. Dive into the warm hospitality of the H’mong people as you savor their traditional corn wine. Afterward, we’ll enjoy a delicious local lunch in Muong Khuong before driving to Sapa. Spend the afternoon freely exploring the charms of Sapa. Dinner will be at your own leisure, and you’ll have a comfortable overnight stay in Sapa.

Day 3: Sapa – Trekking to the Villages
Kickstart your day with a delightful local breakfast in Sapa, home to various Vietnamese ethnic minorities. Embark on a memorable trekking adventure to the nearby villages, leaving behind the bustling town. Explore the picturesque Cat Cat village, where a mesmerizing waterfall and a hydroelectric station await. Traverse dirt trails surrounded by breathtaking rice paddy terraces and relish the stunning views along a narrow river. Rest and enjoy a river-side lunch in Y Linh Ho village, belonging to the Black Hmong minority. Continue the journey through Muong Hoa Valley, passing through Lao Chai village (inhabited by the Black Hmong) and Ta Van village (home to the Giay minority). Spend the night in a local house, experiencing the warmth of the Giay community. Take in the stunning views and swim in the nearby river. Dinner and a homestay with the local people await.

Day 4: More Trekking – Sapa > Night Train Back to Hanoi
After breakfast, we’ll set off for Giang Ta Chai village, inhabited by the Red Dao minority. Embark on a mesmerizing trek through the bamboo forest of Hoang Lien National Park and witness the enchanting beauty of a romantic waterfall. Take a moment to relax and absorb the peaceful surroundings before enjoying a delightful lunch in a picturesque spot. The journey continues to Su Pan, a charming village located by the road. Return to Sapa by car and enjoy free time until it’s time to transfer to Lao Cai train station for the overnight train back to Hanoi. Dinner will be at your own leisure.

Day 5: Hanoi Out
In the early morning, we’ll arrive back in Hanoi, where our incredible journey comes to an end. Depart with cherished memories and an enriched appreciation for the hidden wonders of Sapa.
