Originally a residential house belonging to Hui Bon Hoa, a Chinese settler known as Uncle Hoa, the building underwent a transformation in 1987. The authorities of Ho Chi Minh City converted the site into a museum, ensuring the preservation of Vietnamese arts.
Despite facing challenges due to the construction of a nearby mega-mall, the museum remains a cherished destination for art enthusiasts in Southern Vietnam. In recent years, various projects focused on photography have been launched to engage and inspire the younger generation, cultivating a love for fine arts. The management is also actively restoring parts of the building, ensuring its longevity.

This floor proudly displays the works of renowned Vietnamese artists such as Trinh Cung, Do Quang Em, Diep Minh Chau, and Nguyen Gia Tri, spanning the last 50 years.
The third floor houses an intriguing collection of historic arts, a journey through time from the 7th century to the early 20th century.
